Bo and Tuk
My first encounter with this family of dogs was back in 1992, shortly after I started working full-time.
A friend of a new housemate had two wonderful dogs: Bo, was a purebred Alaskan Malamute, and her son Tuk.
Bo was a such a sweetheart, but also incredibly smart. She was an older dog when I met her, so she had already
lost her spunk, but it didnt stop her from getting excited. Especially when she was getting attention. Her owner
crossed her with a 3/4 Timber Wolf, and produced a litter from which he also kept Tuk. Tuk was a relaxed and majestic
animal. At 140 pounds, his mere presence abated any question of his dominance. Nonetheless, he was a friendly and
endearing dog.
Soon, I was sharing a beautiful home in which they lived, and it didn't take long for me
to appreciate the relationship he had with them, and just awe awesome both the breed, and the hybrids were.
Another friend of mine had yet another Malamute mix, who happened to me the most intelligent and
energetic dog I had ever encountered. So I made arrangements for my friends to meet, and two months
later in October 1994, Tika was born along with 9 other brothers and sisters.

Somethin' Somethin' Somethin'
Since her litter was arranged by me, including finding potential owners for her brothers & sisters, she was very much anticipated. I did everything
I could think of to leave an impression on
her from day one.
